COMMUNITY SKATES

Together Gert Town, in collaboration with The Peace Center (Dominican Sisters of Peace | Sisters and Associates in Mission), the Law Office of Michael J. Hall, and Xavier University, has received a grant from the New Orleans Recreation and Culture Fund to host a series of six community skate events. These events, aimed at promoting physical activity, healthy lifestyles, and community engagement, will feature roller skating lessons and open skate sessions for youth aged 8 to 21 years. The skates will take place from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Norwood Thompson Park (Gerttown Park), located at 7200 Forshey Street, New Orleans, LA 70125 on specific dates outlined below.
